Industry experience while you study. That's how you stand out

Learn from Australia's creative industries specialists. Intakes in February, June and September. You choose!

I came into JMC with a very set idea of what my career should or would look like. And having opportunities to collaborate with other people and other industries showed me that there’s so many different options. People get to chase their craft and explore their craft and expand their craft in the way that they want to.

I chose JMC Academy because I wanted to get into the business part of the music industry. I love the lifestyle and culture of Melbourne because it is a very artistic city and people really understand the music scene in Australia. People in my JMC course were super friendly and I had so much fun with them.

JMC Academy helped me understand the entertainment business and covered a lot of the things that I needed at the start of my career. It prepared me for the real world! JMC is great because it prepares you in a lot of areas that you may face in your career.

At JMC the relationship between students and lecturers really encourages us to become better film makers – the lecturers are the reason I’m enjoying filmmaking even more than I thought I would. They are so experienced in the industry, so I feel like I’m getting the best value studying with JMC! There's so many different cultures and so much diversity here but people adapt to each other's differences and learn from each other. It's definitely a huge change of environment but living in Melbourne has been pretty eye opening in the best way possible and has allowed me to obtain different experiences and opportunities that I wouldn't have been able to encounter back home.”
