Intake Dates
JMC Academy has three intake periods for full-time undergraduate courses and two intake periods for postgraduate courses.
Undergraduate courses (Diplomas and Bachelors) operate on a trimester system (3 academic periods a year), whilst our Postgraduate course (Masters) operate on a semester system (2 academic periods a year).
JMC Academy's upcoming undergraduate (diploma and bachelor) intake and term dates are:
- Trimester commences 13th February 2023
- New students should be in Australia one week prior to commencement in order to attend orientation week.
- Trimester ends 19th May 2023
- Trimester break - 22nd May 2023 to 4th June 2023
- Trimester commences 5th June 2022
- New students should be in Australia one week prior to commencement in order to attend orientation week.
- Trimester ends 8th Sept 2023
- Trimester break - 11th Sept 2023 to 24th Sept 2023
- Trimester commences 25th September 2023
- New students should be in Australia one week prior to commencement in order to attend orientation week.
JMC Academy's upcoming postgraduate (graduate diploma and master's) intake and term dates are:
- Commences 27th February 2023
- New students should be in Australia one week prior to commencement in order to attend orientation week.
- Mid-Semester Break: 7th April - 16th April 2023
- Semester Ends: 9th June 2023
- Semester Break: 12th June - 6th August 2023
- Commences 7th August 2023
- New students should be in Australia one week prior to commencement in order to attend orientation week.
- Mid-Term Break: 18th September - 24th September 2023
- Semester Ends: 17th November 2023
- Inter Semester Break: 20th November 2023 - 25th February 2024
Census Dates
The census date determines the point at which a financial liability is incurred for a course. Students must finalise all enrolments in a term or semester before the census date. JMC Academy's upcoming census dates are:
- 17th October 2022
- 6th March 2023
- 26th June 2023
- 16th October 2023
- 20th March 2023
- 28th August 2023
Study Modes
All undergraduate courses are offered full-time and are delivered on JMC Academy premises. Learning opportunities off-campus, such as performances, projects and excursions, may also be provided.
Postgraduate courses are delivered through in-person, face-to-face lectures, blended with lectures delivered by industry experts located on other JMC campuses, using advanced video conferencing technology.
Trimester and Semester Systems
All of our Bachelor Degree programs are also available under a Semester system. Under the Trimester system the degree takes 2 years to complete. Under the Semester system the degree will be taken over 3 years.
Students will normally enrol in the Trimester (2-year) system and this will apply unless you advise us of your Semester (3-year) preference during the application/enrolment process.
