Campus Reopening
Based on an on-site inspection conducted today, we are pleased to announce that JMC's Brisbane campus will begin reopening in stages over the coming days. This phased approach is designed to ensure the safety and well-being of our entire community while resuming academic and operational activities. Please review the tailored information below for your specific role:
Students
Campus will reopen for classes on Wednesday, 12th March. We recognise that the recent flooding across Queensland may have affected your ability to commute to campus. If you have any concerns or are experiencing difficulties with attending class, please contact your lecturer or Head of Department.
Staff
Campus access is available for those who can travel safely from tomorrow, Tuesday 11th March in preparation for the safe resumption of classes on Wednesday. If you require assistance or have concerns about traveling, please contact your Head of Department or Campus Director for support.
Lecturers
Your scheduled classes will continue as normal on Wednesday. If you have been personally impacted and are unable to attend campus, please notify your Head of Department as soon as possible.

Due to Ex-Cyclone Alfred, JMC Brisbane will remain closed on Monday 10 March and all classes are postponed.
Campus will re-open when it is safe for students to attend.

Due to the severe weather conditions caused by Tropical Cyclone Alfred, JMC Academy Brisbane campus will be closed on Thursday 6 March to Monday 10 March.
What You Need to Know
📌 Campus Closure – No access to Brisbane campus on March 6-10.
📌 Class Postponement – All classes on these dates are postponed. Lecturers will provide updates on rescheduled or make-up classes.

Staying Safe
- Unless you are authorised to work at JMC Academy Brisbane during this time, do not return to campus until advised.
- Do not enter areas that have been impacted by the cyclone until the area has been assessed and access authorised by staff.
- Do not enter flooded roads, fields or areas.
