Public voting for SXSW Sydney presentations and workshops is now officially open for 2025, and we’re thrilled to announce that several of our talented JMC Academy lecturers and staff have submitted their innovative ideas to be part of this incredible event. It’s an honour to see our very own Damian Gascoigne, Woody Naismith, Neil Barnett, and Lissa Barnum bringing their creative expertise to the industry stage, and we couldn’t be prouder of their contributions.

Workshop: 'SXSW and Beyond: The Game of Design Solutions'
Neil and Lissa have teamed up to bring a unique workshop exploring the dynamic world of design solutions in a collaborative game. Woody Naismith (Head of Film and Television, Sydney)
Talk: 'Safety is the Ultimate Form of Risk'
Woody will be diving deep into the concept of safety in the creative industries, examining how it plays a fundamental role in mitigating risk and fostering a sustainable and innovative environment.
