We're thrilled to announce that we’re joining forces with Laneway Festival for a third year in 2025! That’s right, the stars have aligned once more, and we’re ready to take this partnership to a whole new galaxy of opportunities for our students, and alumni!

As a launchpad for the next generation of creative professionals, it feels like a (super) natural fit for JMC to be Laneway’s key education partner once again. So many of our students have already blasted off into the industry through the hands-on experience gained at previous Laneway Festivals and we’re set to propel even more talent into orbit this time around!

In both 2023, and 2024, our students played vital roles across various the whole festival—from pre-production to artist management, live sound, camera operations, and more! Where else could you possibly get out-of-this-world industry knowledge that also fuels your creative career?

If you thought 2024 was big, just you wait -in 2025, our unparallelled student opportunities are bigger and better than ever before! From backstage access to behind-the-scenes learning, JMC students will be there every step of the way.

Plus, don’t forget the music! Last year the Sydney Laneway Festival was opened by none other than Brissy rockers Worm Girlz –and you could be next! We are once again launching another home-grown act into the spotlight, with one JMC student or alumni band to light up the stage alongside some of THE biggest names in the industry.
