Fifteen year old Robbi (Robert) Morgan has been singing since before he can remember.
From busking on the streets of Tamworth, to the stages of the Sydney Opera House with Tina Arena, to Sydney Eisteddfod’s ‘Junior Singer of the Year’, and all the way back to dancing and singing around the lounge room with his older sister. Robbi loves performing and sharing his talents, infectious energy and overall love of music with everyone he meets.
Robbi recently formed a performing duo with guitarist Ben Gillard and took out the Toyota Best of the Buskers Champions at the 2024 Tamworth Country Music Festival and has now become the inaugural recipient of the JMC Academy Scholarship to the CMAA Junior Academy, run by The Academy of Country Music!
The Academy of Country Music is a professional development initiative of the Australian Country Music Association. Since 1997, The Academy has mentored, supported and contributed to the careers of hundreds of young performers from every corner of Australia and New Zealand. Many of the Academy’s alumni feature in the coveted Australian Country Music Awards as Golden Guitar winners or finalists, as well as Australian Idol, X Factor and The Voice. The JMC Academy Scholarship is one way JMC is helping to support Australia’s world class country music scene to nurture new generations of creative talent. It’s what we do best!

We’re so excited for Robbi as he embarks on the learning opportunity of a lifetime this July, joining 26 other students from across the country who will be participating in singer-songwriter-performer and instrumental courses in Tamworth (Australia’s country music mecca!).
The 2024 Junior Academy Graduation Concert will be held at 11:00am on Saturday 20 July at Moonshiners Bar Tamworth, so if you're planning a visit to Tamworth be sure to include this show in your itinerary!
