We are so excited to bring you these amazing opportunities to see the world with your career sharply in focus. Whether it's Japan, Spain or the Netherlands, a JMC Study Abroad trip can be the experience of a lifetime.
Each trip has been specifically designed to sit within a JMC bachelor degree program, so specific eligibility requirements do apply. And while we would love to take you all with us, it's simply not possible. So there is an application process and only limited places available. Please read each information sheet carefully to see if you're eligible. And don't miss those deadlines - some are coming up pretty soon.
VISIT THE BIRTHPLACE OF MANGA AND ANIME
|
You don't have to be a manga/anime fan to make the most of this amazing trip. Spend one week in Osaka and one week in Tokyo. Visit Naoshima Art Island, teamLab Planets Tokyo, the Ghibli Museum, Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum and more. (And anyone else wanting to re-enact scenes from Your Name? Just us? OK then).
The tour is available to students studying a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Animation); Bachelor of Creative Arts (Game Design) and Bachelor of Design (Visual Communication). Students will depart for Japan in the trimester break and return in time for Week 1 of the September trimester. The unit (COL400) will be an elective unit in the September trimester. The unit is eligible for FEE-HELP but a higher unit fee applies. |
EUROPE, BUT WITHOUT THE AWKWARD TEENAGE ENERGY OF FAR FROM HOME
|
Our partnerships with Fontys University in the Netherlands and TAI Artes in Spain are in full swing, with this year's second round of exchanges now open (the first one is happening now. The next one will be in February 2024).
These exchange programs are open to a wide range of JMC degrees, and you can get a full trimester's worth of credit to put towards your degree. The Fontys program is taught entirely in English, but the TAI Artes program is taught entirely in Spanish, so a minimum language requirement applies. The September exchange is the only time that TAI will accept Acting students so si este es usted, solicite ahora ( how did we do? And by 'we' we mean google translate.) Deadlines to apply are fast approaching, so get on it! More info here. |
