We’re beyond stoked to be stepping up to the plate (mic?) this September as the southern hemisphere's biggest celebration of new music takes over Brisbane’s iconic Fortitude Valley district for a week of showcases, industry talks and parties. It means so much to us to be rehashing our longstanding relationship with Australia’s largest music industry event. With over six years of working together, BIGSOUND 2024 is shaping up to be one for the record books!
This year, BIGSOUND conference attendees are expected to rub shoulders with some of the world's most influential tastemakers and adventurous music lovers, as they converge on Brisvegas to explore the future of music in Australia and beyond. With keynote speakers including the iconic Aussie producer and performer Tones & I, US R&B superstar Kelis, Garrwa and Butchulla songman Fred Leone, Amyl and the Sniffers lead singer Amy Taylor and CEO of Australia’s only ASX-listed music business, Vinyl Group, and Founder of Vampr, Josh Simons, BIGSOUND 2024 looks to set the bar of what’s what in the music biz.
As BIGSOUND’s key education partner, JMC aims to make music industry knowledge and education opportunities more accessible to Australia’s emerging creative professionals. We understand that there are often various barriers that may prevent individuals from having access to Australia’s vibrant music industry, so together with BIGSOUND we’re working to minimise these factors.
One way we’re doing this is by making the price of all BIGSOUND one-night Music Festival tickets just $25 for all attendees aged 25 years and under, so that younger (and often cash-strapped) audiences can experience world class performances without blowing their budget!
There’s going to be some extra special opportunities for our JMC students to get hands on at this year’s BIGSOUND as well... we can’t reveal all the details just yet but let’s just say the BIGSOUND program is looking pretty juicy!
