Standard entry criteria to postgraduate studies at JMC

Postgraduate students are selected to study at JMC on the basis of:

• A completed recognised Bachelor degree (or higher) in a relevant field of study*
• Interview with Head of Postgraduate Studies at JMC Academy

Other criteria:

• Relevant work experience in the creative industries field will be highly considered
• Project concept or proposal and portfolio of sample work is encouraged but not required

A relevant field of study includes areas such as: music and sound production, arts management, film + television, music and related studies, entertainment, graphic and design studies, visual arts, interactive + visual design, animation and game design, creative writing, new media, acting, communication and media studies.

Experience-based entry to postgraduate studies at JMC

At JMC Academy, we understand that significant learning can occur outside the classroom, through professional and life experiences. Therefore, applicants who don't hold a Bachelor's degree can still embark on a postgraduate journey. This approach is part of our commitment to recognising and incorporating diverse educational and professional backgrounds into our advanced study programs.
