What does it take to make it as a successful Hollywood Actor? On Friday the 10th of October, our Brisbane Acting students got to ask exactly that. Â
Last week, JMC's Brisbane Campus was proud to play host to international actor and martial artist, Mark Dacascos. During a private and exclusive Q&A, our Brisbane Acting Students got access to key industry insights from a professional performer on how to make it big in Hollywood.Â
Mark, whose Acting credits include John Wick, Drive, Brotherhood of the Wolf and Knights of the Zodiac kindly shared his words of wisdom and encouragement with our budding young actors. Industry connections and mentorship opportunities are a vital part of JMC's educational experience across all courses. From guest lectures to Q&A's and even throughout our teaching staff, JMC are proud to be bringing creative professionals across all industries back into the classroom to impart their knowledge on the next generation of creatives.Â
Brisbane Acting Lecurer, Katrina Roberts said she was "Honoured to host my dear friend and fellow Patsy Rodenburg Associate during his recent Australia tour. A group of our Bachelor of Acting students were treated to a very special Q&A with Mark who inspired them to aim high, work hard and hone their craft with presence and humility. Eternally grateful for his kindness, support and generosity of spirit."Â
Mark himself said he was "grateful to have shared some time with Kat and JMC's students; they asked some deep questions and were beaming with presence!"
An absolute legend of the game, Mark's inspiring career experience and insight truly shows what it takes to become and internationally acclaimed actor. The session was nothing short of world class!
Here are some lively snaps from the day.
